CIRP - Silicon Valley Bank Collapse

RichC
Another attempt to try to include re-posted financial-advice marketing commentary from Contrarian Outlook to a personal Raspberry Pi server for archival and reading. What the Silicon Valley Bank Collapse Means … Michael Foster, Investment Strategist Updated: March 16, 2023 The Silicon Valley Bank (SIVB) mess has demonstrated exactly why we need to invest in closed-end funds (CEFs): these funds yield 8.1% on average, giving us an income stream that can get us through market volatility, like we’re seeing now.

Table of Contents #2 Testing

Content below is from Hugo Content Management page after updating to an ordered list. Table of Contents Introduction My Second Heading My Third Heading The Fouth and Final Heading Introduction One morning, when Gregor Samsa woke from troubled dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a horrible vermin. My Second Heading He lay on his armour-like back, and if he lifted his head a little he could see his brown belly, slightly domed and divided by arches into stiff sections.

CIRP - Typora Table Test TWO

RichC
While viewing a wide table view on a website after posting a table last week, I was curious as to how Markdown would handle a copy/paste wide table - (tweaked - had to narrow and eliminate columns to fit the width). I’ve updated from a previous post to reflect March 2023 information. Also check this LINK to see if it opens a new RDC Personal Font tab.Contrarian Income Report Portfolio

A curved glass bird feeder idea

RichC
For those with with a love for feeding birds and access to a curved piece of glass (or perhaps the ability to heat and curve plexiglass???) … here’s an interesting project idea. Click on image for a short .mp4 video Although having this bird feeder in your window might get old after a while, it would be a great idea for those shut-in or able to convince an assisted living facility to be able to put this in a window.

RDC Personal Font

RDC Personal Font
While working with Amazon’s AWS S3 storage for a customer demo, I ran across my archived RDC Personal Font from March of 2009. I forgot just how much I enjoy making it and would have enjoyed making a few more specialized fonts. <base target="blank"> Also … I’m attempting to use a bit of “rawhtml” code (above) prior to the Markdown text in order to open links in a new tab so as not to distract from reading a post.

Linux Server Hugo “-Watch” Cron difficulty

Linux Server Hugo “-Watch” Cron difficulty
While experimenting with the Hugo watch server for static pages and updating while posting on the fly from iAWriter on the iPad, I’ve been unable to set up a Linux cron instead of the -watch mode. It is going to require a little more digging into this as this is not intended to be a production server. For now I’ll keep experimenting with Markdown and memorizing a few of the quicker features that makes writing notes and posting them easy … *perhaps there is a way to tie this into my quickdex.

iA Writer Markdown Testing 3

iA Writer Markdown Testing 3
MarkDown testing with thumbnail photo 1 Suspecting this will be a final afternoon test of Hugo to see if the image appears as a thumbnail and leading image to this post. So far so good with the iA Writer on the iPad in typing these last few posts with MarkDown. Still a problem with saving to iCloud and manually having to move to the server and run Hugo to build the static pages … but the site runs on minimal server hardware and is fast.

MarkDown testing in 2022 1 Practice makes perfect … or perhaps it is just practice? In smoothing out a few wrinkles in ”how to post” from iA Writerto the Hugo server, there are still too many steps, especially from the iPad. Nevertheless, this is attempt TWO. see link for the first post. ↩︎
